Field Logger - Television Documentary Production (Phoenix, AZ)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (must be local or able to work locally)
Position Type: Entry-Level / Freelance (Production-Based)
We are hiring a Field Logger for an upcoming television documentary production filming in the Phoenix area. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to break into the television industry and work alongside a team of experienced, professional TV producers and crew.
What You'll Be Doing
• Taking detailed notes on a laptop during filming (fast, accurate typing is essential)
• Proofreading and editing field notes for clarity and accuracy
• Writing basic scene summaries and story notes
• Organizing and distributing daily logs to the production team at the end of each shoot day
Who We're Looking For
• Must be local to Phoenix, AZ or the surrounding area
• Fast typer with a high words-per-minute (WPM) rate
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Interest in creative writing, storytelling, and how stories are built for television
• Curious, eager to learn, and excited to be on set
• Works well on a team and gets along easily with others
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability under pressure
Bonus Points
• Avid watcher of reality television or documentary programming
• Familiarity with production environments or set etiquette
• Background in writing, journalism, film, or media studies
