The Talent Manager acts as a strategic advisor, business manager, and advocate for creators, helping them maximize revenue opportunities, build long-term careers, and expand their personal brands. Success in this role is measured by creator satisfaction, roster growth, creator revenue performance, and new talent acquisition.
Core Responsibilities
Creator Relationship Management & Growth
Talent Acquisition & Retention
• Identify, evaluate, and sign new creators aligned with agency growth.
- Assess creators based on audience quality, content performance, growth trajectory, commercial potential, and cultural fit.
- Identify gaps and opportunities within the agency roster.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for a roster of creators.
• Build trusted, long-term relationships with creators.
• Act as the internal advocate for creator priorities and needs.
• Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
• Maintain strong creator satisfaction and retention.
Career Development (Secondary Focus)
• Advise on content strategy, audience development, and platform expansion.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen creator positioning and marketability.
• Guide creators through key career decisions and business opportunities.
The Talent Manager is responsible for the acquisition, growth, retention, and commercial success of a roster of creators. This role serves as the primary relationship owner for assigned talent while actively identifying and signing new creators to the agency.
Personal Brand Development (Secondary Focus)
• Support creators in developing long-term business ventures.
• Identify opportunities for product launches, merchandise, licensing, affiliate partnerships, subscriptions, and media opportunities.
• Help creators build sustainable businesses beyond sponsored content revenue.
Brand Partnerships
• Secure and negotiate brand partnerships aligned with creator goals.
- This includes:
- Inbound opportunities - Timely responses + negotiations, proper organization & visibility for creators
- Outbound opportunities - Identifying & sourcing brand/agency contacts, tailored creator and roster pitches
• Maintain and grow long-term brand/agency relationships
- This includes:
- Monthly email check-ins with existing brand side clients with roster updates
- Moving brand side clients to calls when appropriate
Revenue Generation & Commercial Management
Revenue Ownership
• Own revenue targets for an assigned creator roster.
• Develop strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
• Monitor performance against forecasts and proactively address gaps.
Partnership Development
• Collaborate with Brand Partnerships teams to identify and secure opportunities for creators.
• Present opportunities aligned with creator goals and audience fit.
• Build strategic relationships that lead to recurring partnerships and long-term brand deals.
Negotiation & Deal Strategy
• Lead creator-side negotiations for partnerships, licensing agreements, exclusivity terms, renewals, and usage rights.
• Maximize deal economics while maintaining strong brand and creator relationships.
• Ensure opportunities align with creator values and long-term objectives.
Campaign Oversight & Creator Advocacy
Campaign Support
• Partner with Campaign Management teams to ensure successful execution of creator partnerships.
• Support creators throughout campaign delivery.
• Resolve creator-related issues, concerns, or escalations.
Quality Assurance
• Ensure creators understand campaign expectations and deliverables.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and execution across the roster.
Performance Analysis
• Review campaign outcomes and creator performance metrics.
• Translate learnings into future growth and monetization opportunities.

Talent Evaluation
• Assess creators based on audience quality, content performance, growth trajectory, commercial potential, and cultural fit.
• Evaluate long-term revenue opportunity and strategic value to the agency.
Talent Signing
• Present agency capabilities, services, and growth opportunities to prospective creators.
• Lead discussions regarding representation and partnership structures.
• Partner with leadership on contract negotiations and onboarding.
• Successfully transition signed creators into active management relationships.
Roster Strategy
• Identify gaps and opportunities within the agency roster.
• Develop acquisition plans aligned with company revenue and growth objectives.
• Maintain a balanced mix of established creators and emerging talent.
