This is a Full Time Job

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fox 6 News is looking for a meteorologist to join state’s top weather team. Led by our Chief Meteorologist with almost 30 years experience forecasting Wisconsin weather, the person we’re looking for will do it all: television, online, social networking and community outreach. We have state-of-the-art HD weather graphics, a live HD Doppler system and an extensive live weather site network. In other words, we’ve got all the tools- we just need the right meteorologist!

Are you that individual? Do you live for the weather? Are you a great storyteller who is constantly looking for new ways to use all the technology at your disposal to create dynamic, compelling weather segments? Do you truly ‘get’ that we’re not just a TV station, but are all about content across many “channels” from TV to mobile? Being a part of this team is a lot of hard work- we get our fair share of severe weather in both spring and winter. We’ve got Milwaukee’s only outside weather deck- so many times you’ll be “in” the weather while reporting on it.

Our motto is “Be Prepared, Not Scared.” We’re not looking for someone who hypes weather events. That’s not us. But we are all about connecting with the community and being the premiere weather team in town people can depend on.

You must be an AMS sealed meteorologist to qualify for this position. You must have AT LEAST 6 years experience in your craft. The regular shift includes nights and weekends but certainly won’t be limited to that. This is a huge opportunity so if you’re interested please send your resume.
