Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Director of Corporate Partnerships is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for driving new revenue through the sale of strategic corporate partnerships. This role is focused exclusively on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities that leverage the full suite of marketing assets controlled by the Washington Nationals, including signage, media, hospitality, digital, experiential, and event-based platforms.
This is a high-impact, externally facing role requiring a proven track record of revenue generation, strategic thinking, and relationship-building at the executive level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Proactively identify and cultivate new corporate partnership opportunities at the local, regional, and national levels.
• Develop customized, ROI-driven proposals and presentations tailored to prospective partner objectives.
• Lead all aspects of the sales cycle - from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop innovative partnership platforms and activation concepts.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects and consistently meet or exceed individual revenue targets.
• Represent the Nationals brand with professionalism and strategic insight in external meetings, events, and hospitality settings.
• Ensure seamless handoff to the activation team post-sale and maintain involvement to support long-term partner success.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging sponsorship opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in sports sponsorship or high-level B2B sales.
• Demonstrated success in closing complex, high-value deals with senior decision-makers.

• Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Work Environment:
• Office: Standard office environment with occasional evening/weekend work.
• Gameday: Requires presence in a dynamic, crowded outdoor sports venue; exposure to varying weather conditions
