This is a Full Time Job
The Senior Software Engineer will be a key member of Monumental Basketball Strategy, Research, and Development department team. This position will be responsible for building the most innovative software system in professional basketball and will chose and implement technologies that inform our Washington Mystics coaches, scouts, executives, and other basketball operations staff.

Responsibilities:
• Drive software strategy for all basketball operations (i.e., recommend infrastructure, development frameworks, etc.).
• Build the Mystics' software engineering infrastructure in a sustainable way to support basketball operations going forward.
• Work with key cross-department partners (front office executives, coaches, scouts, salary cap strategists, medical/performance directors, etc.) to build products, implement feedback, and efficiently fix bugs.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced literacy in open-source backend frameworks such as Rails, Django, Next.js, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of Python, Prefect and DBT.
• Experience with a variety of transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) databases.
• Diverse set of infrastructure experience with both PaaS and IaaS platforms and the ability to dynamically recommend infrastructure stacks and manage associated budgets.
• Experience implementing project management tools to run the software development process.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with experience in Svelte (preferred), React, or Angular.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Familiarity with agile development frameworks.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
