Job Title: Admin Assistant, People Team
A little bit about our team:
The Recorded Music People Team drives business forward by partnering with leaders to build organizations and make decisions on employee-related objectives. Our team provides strategic people support, focusing on organizational development, performance management, and talent development to help employees grow at WMG. We act as a thought partner on business decisions in the workplace and provide general human resources support.
Your role:
The People Team Assistant supports Recorded Music business units by handling a variety of HR-related tasks. This role is crucial for delivering excellent employee support and taking guidance from HR Business Partners who manage relationships within the recorded music functions. As the primary point of contact for all HR inquiries, the Assistant ensures all HR tasks are managed professionally, efficiently, and promptly. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into various aspects of the music industry, interact with employees at all levels, and actively participate in numerous HR initiatives and projects.
Here you'll get to:
• Be the trusted, first point of contact for employees and new hires across all U.S. offices (including New York, California, and Nashville), providing guidance on HR policies or escalating issues confidentially to the appropriate team member
• Deliver an exceptional onboarding experience by conducting new hire orientation, training all U.S. new hires on Workday and other core company systems, and ensuring a seamless start to their career
• Provide critical support for key HR processes, including performance planning, managing Visa processes, coordinating leave of absence documentation, and assisting with employee relations matters
• Manage the full employee lifecycle by partnering with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to finalize onboarding plans and efficiently assisting with the exiting process, including conducting confidential exit interviews
• Own the integrity of our HR data by accurately updating and maintaining employee records in Workday (Note: This role involves significant time in Workday and requires strong attention to detail.)
• Prepare and update all essential HR and Financial reports and documents for the team
• Maintain and organize all confidential HR files and databases
• Collaborate across the People Team by actively participating in and supporting larger HR Initiatives and Learning & Development projects based on business needs
• Partner with the Student Programs Team on managing and coordinating the Emerging Talent Associate program
• Provide daily, dedicated administrative and operational support to larger People team
About you:
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a meticulous attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to building rapport with a diverse employee population
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and resolve them efficiently and confidentially
• High degree of accountability and the confidence to present ideas and insights to the team
We'd love it if you also had:
• 1+ years of professional experience in Human Resources or a related field
• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline
• Experience with Workday or another recognized HRIS system
• Prior leadership or public speaking experience
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) or Google Workspace equivalent
• The ability to forge outstanding working relationships and collaborate effectively across a large, cross-functional team
