Job Title: Manager, Data Analytics & Automation (DAA)
A little bit about our team:
As part of the wider Global Strategic Integration and Operations (SI&O) team, Warner Chappell's Data Analytics & Automation (DAA) team is focused on working alongside other parts of the business to automate, design, and implement strategic data and analytics projects. Data is a critical part of everything we do, and the DAA team helps unlock insights for our leaders around the world.
Your role:
Supporting the Senior Manager, Data Analytics & Automation, you will work in a future-focused, fast-paced and dynamic environment, integral to the development, delivery, and enhancement of bespoke analytical and visual projects across various business areas globally. Working with the wider team, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple departments to deliver on in-flight and future requirements for the Warner Chappell business.
This role will expand your music industry knowledge, giving you a thorough understanding of all its processes and nuances, and provide you the opportunity to grow your technical skill set.
Here you'll get to:
• Become an analytical partner for key stakeholders across multiple departments, while also working across the wider DAA team.
• Own projects from start to finish, determining the proper implementation and approach appropriate for the project's requirements.
• Deliver bespoke analysis, data delivery, and visualizations in line with the needs of each department from top level through to granular analysis.
• Create processes, data pipelines, and final data product deliveries, including dashboards, data extracts, etc. in line with the expectation of each department.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and teams across WMG to ensure current and future analysis needs are captured and any risks or deficiencies are escalated.
• Design and write data queries and workflows that can be shared across the team and directly with departments.
• Contribute ideas for how to innovate, improve, and create more efficient ways of delivery analysis.
About you:
• You enjoy collaborating with others and are open to trying new and varied approaches to problem solving.
• You are comfortable writing and understanding intermediate-level SQL queries and are knowledgeable of various database principles and concepts.
• You are passionate about problem solving, and are adept at breaking complex problems down into smaller components.
• You have the ability to work independently and can own a project from planning to delivery.
• You are passionate about the music industry and songwriters.
We'd love it if you also had:
• A general interest and understanding of programming concepts and programming languages.
• A working knowledge of music publishing, how it fits into the wider music business, and the types of data that are typically used within the industry.
• Experience using Python and common data analysis libraries (pandas, NumPy, Streamlit, etc).
• Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations.
• Proven experience working with large data sets in a reporting and analytical capacity.
• Experience working in a fast-paced professional environment.
• A growth mindset, interested in building upon and expanding your current skill set.
