WBEI seeks a Manager, Contract Compliance for the Corporate Projects department. The primary responsibility of this position is to monitor and process contracts and documents. Other responsibilities include:
• Monitoring contract compliance (e.g., price, service quality, quantity), terms and conditions, service level agreements, and status of critical deliverables with multiple providers.
• Acting as first-line subject matter expert for contract interpretation for all alternative sourcing projects
• Overseeing and reviewing overall performance of service level agreements across multiple service providers
• Managing receipt and documentation of change requests and coordinate the review process by appropriate WB stakeholders. Ensuring timely completion of amendments and change orders with all service providers
• Working with key stakeholders to identify issues related to upcoming milestone and contract dates
• Identifying upcoming penalty/trigger events; resolving issues identified by stakeholders
• Managing benchmarking exercises
• Periodically reviewing and evaluating relationship-level Policies and Procedures Guide (PPG) for all service providers
• Overseeing the use and functionality of governance tools (including software)
• Developing and managing systems for document storage and record keeping
• Overseeing service level agreement reviews and change control approvals/coordination
• Ensuring that contract related changes are communicated to appropriate stakeholders
• Preparing agenda and minutes for operational governance meetings for all service providers
• Preparing operational governance reports
• Assisting with the development of training materials
• Reviewing operational issue logs to verify that issues are being addressed at proper levels, governance committees are being utilized and issue escalation processes are being followed
• Gathering data and collation to support internal and service provider audits
To qualify, the candidate must have:
• 5-7 years transactional paralegal experience
• Experience working with similar contracts from either service provider or (including shared services) Client perspective preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required. Paralegal certification preferred
• Project management capability to manage the contract change process
• Experience with reconciling contract terms to financial actuals
• The ability to motivate and coordinate activities of people in other work groups
• The ability to operate autonomously with senior management
• Experience with document management
• Experience with Microsoft office suite – expert
• The availability to support special extended hours to support critical periods, such as the month end closing, Transition, etc.
• The ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone
• The ability to resolve complex problems and work well under time constraints
• Excellent time management skills to perform in a fast-paced, high pressure, high volume environment
• Short/Intermediate team travel may be required (some overseas)
