The Job
WarnerMedia seeks a Sr. Designer, Creative Services for the Products and Services-NBADCOM department.
Turner Sports & Bleacher Report are hiring a Senior Designer for the Creative Services, Marketing team who will work cross-functionally to lead design-centric needs for NBA, NBA on TNT, and NBATV marketing campaigns. This role will field requests from sales and consumer marketing teams to develop consistent visual branding/identity across programs.
The Daily
• Leads by example, helps grow junior and mid-level designers
• Regularly evaluates existing processes and makes recommendations for improvement
• Lead design efforts for all NBA digital media assets for paid and portfolio media including, but not limited to:
• Tip-Off
• Regular Season
• All-Star Weekend
• Playoffs
• NBA TV programming and initiatives
• Design Marketing Materials - Presentations, One-sheets, Infographics, etc
• Define campaign aesthetic/visual language
• Assists with contractors and/or external vendors
• Participate in brainstorms and contribute to the design effort of NBA-led events
• Demonstrates expertise of layout, typography and visual hierarchy
• Creates consistent, scalable design solutions across all platforms
• Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
• Embodies high standards and thoughtful design
• Ability to develop a point-of-view and defend work
• Gives and takes constructive feedback
• Proactively shares work, seeking feedback in an effort for improvement
The Essentials
• 8-12 years professional experience
• Ability to coach, mentor and guide junior/mid-level designers
• Strong design portfolio highlighting layout and typography
• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field preferred
• Experience designing across platforms
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of the digital landscape in media, design and technology
• Understanding of contemporary design, internet and youth culture trends
• A knowledge and love of sports and sports culture a plus
