Love everything about food, from cooking it to eating it to sharing it on social media? So obsessed with cooking shows that you host culinary competitions in your kitchen? Stay up into the wee hours of the night scrolling TikTok? If so, you're in the right spot. This role will be responsible for growing and fostering Food Network, Food.com and Cooking Channel brands on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Twitter and Pinterest. The ideal candidate is a hyper-organized, creative individual with a passion for social media and the world of food.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Grow and foster engaged social media communities, especially on emerging platforms like TikTok and YouTube, while supporting the Food category in achieving business objectives
• Contribute to day-to-day operations of Food Network's YouTube by handling video ingestion, optimization and organization, plus balancing content priorities and optimizing videos and thumbnails
• Create engaging social content for TikTok based on platform trends
• Schedule social media posts efficiently and with attention to detail
• Craft attention-grabbing copy to create an exciting and valuable content experience for our followers across multiple platforms
• Find eye-catching videos by influencer and fan accounts to repost on owned platforms
• Monitor, respond to and moderate social media conversations
• Share community feedback, identify potential issues, etc.
• Review video series and one-offs with an eye for social performance
• Shoot live or native footage as needed
Qualifications and Experience...
• Bachelor's Degree
• Professional social media experience
• Active and engaged participant in social media with in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including best practices, user dynamics and current trends
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage and execute multiple ongoing projects
• Extreme attention to detail and proclivity for checking work for accuracy once, twice and three times
• Creative individual with a passion for social media, food and entertainment
• Superb verbal, writing and presentation skills to communicate effectively, and on brand, with consumers
• Speedy, proactive work ethic and ability to work ahead
• Go-getter with an eye on analytics and growth
• Savvy social media user and trend-seeker
• Solid understanding of digital content, communication and marketing principles
• Highly creative, strategic thinker with ability to develop fresh, executable ideas that support Food Category initiatives
• Solution oriented problem solver
• Food influencer connections a plus
• Photo and video editing experience and basic design capabilities for social media. (Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere is a plus.)
• Familiarity with web and social media analytics (Tubular, Facebook Creator Studio, Twitter Analytics, etc.)
• Potential for night and weekend work
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
