This is a Full Time Job
V10 is seeking a full-time on-site Controller. This hands-on Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's accounting and financial operations, including the annual audit, the consolidated financial close and reporting process, accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with Budgeting. The Controller will report to the VP of Finance and manage a team of two staff accountants.
Primary Responsibilities include:
• Lead all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, annual close processes across multiple entities and projects, including preparing account schedules and reconciliations.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Produce accurate and timely reporting for executive leadership, private equity sponsor and lender.
• Lead and manage the company's annual financial audit with external auditors and tax engagements, including preparing documentation and technical accounting memos.
• Oversee the company's financial accounts, payrolls, budgeting, cash receipts (AR/AP) and financial assets.
• Prepare the weekly 13-week cashflow for management and private equity sponsor.
• Prepare show level Actuals to Budget cost reports for COO, Executive In Charge, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly board meeting report packages as needed.
• Lead, mentor and develop staff accountants.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (CPA strongly preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years as Controller/Accounting manager in the entertainment industry.
• Strong technical accounting skills and deep knowledge of GAAP, including ability to draft technical accounting memos and analyses.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606, ASC 926, ASC 805, ASC 350, ASC 842.
• Experience managing audits with Big 4 audit firms.
• Experience building and implementing strong internal controls.
• Complex problem-solving skills.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Judgment and decision-making skills.
• NetSuite experience a strong plus.
• Hands on, detail oriented, and ability to thrive in fast paced private equity controlled operating business environment.
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication skills including active listening, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to pass appropriate background checks.
