Job Summary:

Bravado works closely with new and established clients to create innovative products carefully tailored to each artist or brand. Clients include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Bob Marley, Run DMC, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Metallica and Guns N' Roses, among many others.
Bravado is currently seeking to fill the role of Vice President- Licensing.
• Lead business development initiatives to identify new licensing partners and product categories, including researching, pitching, negotiating and executing contracts
• Maintain existing licensee relationships across all product categories and optimize commercial terms of these partnerships for Bravado
• Interact with artists, managers and UMG record labels to educate on potential licensing opportunities
• Apply strategic mindset and analyze each opportunity for fit within the Bravado portfolio
• Work with the Marketing, Sales, Business Affairs and Production teams to assist in facilitating new contracts, managing existing contracts an advising on new strategic opportunities.
• [Manage relationships for all partnership agreements for which Bravado is a licensee, e.g. Harley Davidson]
• Develop brand guidelines in partnership with Marketing to ensure all licensees execute on Bravado's direction
• Maintain quality standards with licensees on behalf of the Bravado roster across all product categories and manage design calendar for licensed product categories
• Work with Business Affairs to develop anti-piracy strategies
• Work with label Strategic Marketing teams to develop broader product alignment opportunities
• Develop broader strategic licensing programs for Bravado and its artists working closely with the retail and brand management teams
• Manage and track work-flow between Bravado and our licensees
• Maintain and update sales forecasts at the licensee and artist level
• Manage day-to-day licensee relationships
• Work closely with Product Managers to streamline licensee creative requests and approvals process
• Work closely with Finance department to ensure proper royalty collection and payment
• Work with Business Affairs on IP registrations and police product piracy issues
Job Requirements:
• At least 7 years of experience in licensing and licensing management
• Proven track in Fashion/Luxury/CPG and global brand experience a plus
• History/Understanding of how licensing deals are identified and negotiation.
• Experience securing and managing licensing deals in a variety of product categories and managing them
• Strong business analytical skill set
• Excellent verbal communication, written communication and presentation skills
• Must have a relentless drive to succeed, win business and close deals
• Must exhibit excellent attention to detail and good organizational and follow-through skills
• Must have strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Willingness and ability to travel as the role requires
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required. Legal degree a plus
