Description
The SVP, Branding & Sync is responsible for the development of brand and sync initiatives.
Key Deliverables:
• Develop new business and nurture existing relationships with valued clients
• Develop results-oriented synchronization and licensing plans, ensuring that deliverables are consistent with corporate objectives
• Ensure delivery of the agreed objectives and budget for the group
• Enable and create revenue opportunities through brand partnerships, sponsorship and licensing partnerships
• Maintain relationships with A&R and Marketing functions, with focus on finding timely synchronization opportunities that benefit artist releases
• Identify and exploit new opportunities from a variety of product and service industries
• Oversee design, solicitation, and implementation of third party strategic alliances
• Integrate programs with both online and offline components
• Effectively use and exploit consumer and marketplace research
• Must have demonstrated experience and success working at the CMO/CEO level clients as well as the ability to interact with senior advertising agency contacts
• Set appropriate tactics for customers (call cycles, pitch cycles, marketing campaigns etc.), initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets
• Forecast brand partnership revenues, develop a quarterly, annual and five year plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
• Deliver revenue, opportunities, pitch number and pitch/win targets
• Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
• Create demand for the label’s artists, products in the marketplace
• Lead and develop team to ensure delivery of business goals and personal growth of team
Job Requirements:
• The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of strategic marketing leadership, developing long-term partnerships with customers, and best-in-class executional experience.
• Minimum 15 years with music and/or entertainment companies with at least 5 years leading/managing a marketing or similar department
• Degree qualified or equivalent experience
• Extensive music industry experience with an emphasis on brands and/or synch licensing
• The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of strategic marketing leadership, developing long term partnerships with customers, and best-in-class executional experience.
• Senior level synchronization and licensing experience in a consumer-focused industry; to include management, budget accountability, high-level relationship management, and revenue generation
• Strong marketing and sales organization leadership
• Extensive knowledge of the marketing and advertising industries
• Strong prospecting and closing skills
• Works well with a broad cross section of functional teams
• Is goal oriented and can inspire others to achieve goals
• Ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally
• Strong negotiating skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Industry knowledge and relationships
