Description
UMG is looking to fill the position of Senior Royalty Systems Administrator. In this role you will oversee the TRACS Royalty System production jobs and provide project support for other IT systems.
Job Functions:
TRACS Production Oversight:
Manage, monitor, and escalate TRACS Royalty System production jobs. Escalate key production job issues within critical timeframe including:
• Manage communication with WNS, IT Production, IT Royalty leads, UMG Royalties & Copyright, and US Canada.
• Manage IT Change Control. Scheduling and conducting meetings when issues arise.
• Manage TRACS Batch Processing Sharepoint site, updating job notes, production times, and task instructions for WNS staff
• Perform Quality checks with TRACS production output to ensure that all sales lines are processed correctly.
• Schedule TRACS Process file backup, file rollover, and cleaning.
• Participate in US TRACS Weekly IT Royalties, IT Run, and Technology & Training meetings.
• Run key business queries and reports from IT Systems and Workflow tools
Provide project support for IT Systems and Workflow tools:
• TRACS
• RDW (Royalty Data Warehouse)
• CLA (Copyright Licensing Application)
• Sharepoint
• Zendesk workflow tools
• Analyze and reconcile RDW, TRACS, and CLA financial reports as part of day-to-day operations.
• Create and update system and process documentation for IT Systems and Workflow tools.
Note: The position will work 40 hour work weeks with a flexible work schedule during the statement cycle. Some Holiday work will be required. This position may work offsite using remote access software with management approval.
Work shift (All times PST)
Peak times: January, February, July, August: Thursday-Monday (primarily) 5pm to 2am.
Medium: March, April, September, October: A hybrid of Peak/Off-Peak schedules.
Off-Peak: May, June, November, December: Monday–Friday normally 9am to 6pm.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Super User level Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Manager must be detail-oriented and have strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with financial terms (such as expense, liability, etc.) and reporting a plus.
• Familiarity with SharePoint.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with TRACS Royalty System (Artist experience preferred). Must be able to determine the impact of critical versus non-critical TRACS production jobs and is able to discern when to escalate TRACS issues to IT.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Copyright License Administration (CLA) system.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Royalty Data Warehouse (RDW) system.
Education:
• 4-year college degree preferably in Music Business, Accounting, IT Systems
