The A Side: A Day in The Life
We are currently seeking maternity cover for a Senior Director – Business Process, Project and Change Management to join our Process Innovation and Advanced Operations department. This role will be responsible for driving the delivery of key workstreams to support the GR4O programme* for the UK labels and appropriate international territories, utilizing key process and change management principles.
This position supports the goals of the GR4O programme, a cross-functional programme of work designed to support maximising the use of UMG’s Intellectual Property, across every platform, in every territory around the world. The program aims to maximize our effectiveness across our Rights, Repertoire, Revenue and Royalties capabilities to ensure our artists and partners are fully rewarded for their hard work and that no revenue is left on the table.
This role, located within the UK but working closely with US (East and West Coast) colleagues, is primarily responsible for the delivery and co-ordinated rollout of various system-based initiatives to deliver tangible business benefits. The value delivered needs to be centred in ensuring that our internal stakeholders and customers are fully onboard and bought in to any new ways of working. The role is supported by a number of label-based change analysts based across the UK and US labels who will need to be directed to embed the new processes. In addition, & where necessary, business process gap analysis will be required in designing any new initiatives that arise during the term.
The B Side: Skills & Experience

• Work with senior management to ensure that initiatives to be delivered drive the programme’s strategic goals
• Ensure that the build and/or delivery of tools meet the business’ needs and deliver the business case
• Manage stakeholders to promote change and internal customers to onboard new ways of working
• Utilise basic project and change management principles to de-risk the team’s delivery of new ways of working
• Manage relationships with external partners to deliver end-to-end proof of concept benefits
• Ensures that the wider team are constantly communicating the business case/value behind the workstreams

• Identify and deliver quick wins to demonstrate the business case supporting the initiatives
• Consistently and constantly communicate the business value delivered by the workstreams across the organisation at all levels

• Design processes that challenge the status quo and inspire
• Actively seek out new ideas and approaches with a view to enabling new revenue opportunities; richer or more accurate capture of metadata or assets; wider discoverability of UMG’s repertoire; etc.
• Propose deliverable solutions (processes or tools) in support of these new opportunities
Be Accountable
• Maintain focus on the wider roadmap to ensure that the team are meeting the programme milestones
• Drive the team to embed processes using informal and formal KPIs
Personal Specification
Necessary
• Proven track record in the following areas: change management, project management, business Process design and documentation, requirements gathering and prioritisation
• Proven track record of designing and transforming processes, ideally in matrixed organizations or across different geographies, driving significant business improvements
• Inspire cross-functional and cross-locational teams to work together
• Comfortable working with people at all levels within the business to drive and embed change
Desirable
• Experience working with a record label and knowledge of the recording and creative processes
• Experience of working in an Agile development environment
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to provide. authoritative advice, and engage, influence, and effectively negotiate with stakeholders
• Ability to guide decision-making and seek cooperation where required
• Ability to drive through ambiguity to create a clear view of goals and delivery strategy

• Proficiency with MS office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio) and online whiteboard solutions (e.g MIRO) would be a benefit
