Universal Music Group is in search of a Creative Director – Brand Partnerships to be based in Singapore.
About the role :
• Responsible for developing creative propositions for brands accessing our extensive artist and content roster.
• By applying an agency mentality, go beyond providing brands with access to our artists to create integrated platforms, unique campaigns (across experiential, content and influencer marketing) and managing brand marketing strategies around music
• Creative/Strategic output
- Drive the creative output of the department based on a consumer insight, leveraging entertainment in an authentic way
- Develop relationships with leading suppliers (content and event production etc)
- Streamline UMG creative efficiencies and enhance perceptions
- Harness international best practice from UMG and around the Branded Entertainment and effectively leverage for client campaigns
• Business Development:
- Create targeted propositions for brands and agencies
- Turn label/artist opportunities into tangible brand campaigns with innovative idea generation
- Work with internal teams to harness all the assets and knowledge within the music business to brands – sales collateral, prospecting approach, use of consumer insights, curation of best practice etc
- Fostering close relationships with a variety of brand and agency partner
- Drive PR working with Internal teams covering trade press, awards entries, owned events etc
• Liaison with a variety of internal departments to understand artist marketing plans and construct opportunities for strategic business partnerships
Desirable Traits:
• At least 8 years of related experience required , ideally in a creative agency
• Experience with music/ media/ advertising/ entertainment industry would be highly advantageous
• Great connections/ network with key brands and agencies would be highly advantageous
• Regional exposure / experience would be highly advantageous
• Excellent presentation/ pitching skills internally as well as to clients
• Commercial savvy/ mindset
• Creative, lateral thinker
• Strong relationship building skills
