OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, OPERATIONS & DISTRIBUTED LABELS

24 MONTH CONTRACT

The UMC team is currently working from home due to the global pandemic and plans on going back into the office in 2021. You must be comfortable working in a virtual/remote environment.

Reporting to the Director, Operations & Integrated Systems Solutions, the Operations Specialist, Distributed Labels is the main point of contact for all the operational requirements related to our Distributed Labels as well as Labels managed by the Label Partnerships Team. The ideal candidate will have an Operations acumen as well as a passion for music and enjoy a multi-faceted role within a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain Distributed Label new release production schedule.
• Oversee pre-production of locally manufactured Distributed Label as assigned for new releases including acquisition of audio/artwork masters and approvals.
• Consult with Operations and Sales for inventory management of Distributed Label product.
• Input new release Distributed Label import orders.
• Assist with product set up, maintenance and updates.
• Enter and monitor stock transfers between Universal Music Canada and various business partners.
• Handle discrepancies of Distributed Label product received at distribution center.
• Manage Distributed Label stock requirements for venue sales and promotional needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with labels.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
• Ability to thrive in a varied and swiftly moving environment.
• 2-3 years of previous experience in Operations/Pre-Production/Production.
• Excellent organization, planning and prioritizing skills.
• Attention to detail and follow-up skills are essential.
• Reliable, motivated and enthusiastic personality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Cordis, Microstrategy and Microsoft Office and experience in other reporting tools.
• Hard working and motivated self-starter with ability to work and think clearly in a loud environment
