Job title: .Net Developer

Department: Universal Music Publishing
Location of work: 4 Pancras Square, Kings Cross
The A Side: A Day in The Life
This position is for a .NET application developer to work on a variety of development projects. The individual will work to develop web applications in HTML, CSS, JQuery ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Technical
• Work in an agile environment - participate in sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos
• Develop code in accordance with defined standards and generally accepted practices
• We expect everyone on our team to present creative solutions to our technology problems
• Make sure code developed is unit tested and documented to standards
• Forward thinking and proactive bringing new technology ideas to solve business challenges

• Maintain balanced relationships across the business community, technical team and IT vendors
• Manage client requests and expectations

• Proactively and consistently communicate task status
• Communicate risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies to appropriate stakeholders and escalate if necessary to ensure the project’s success

• Monitor enhancements, maintenance and support of existing applications

Personal Specification
Necessary
• Proven track record working with HTML, CSS, C# and .NET
• Proven track record working with JQuery
• Object orientated OOP/OOD programming
• Experience with database management systems Experience developing in SQL
• Experience of using .NET Web Services, Visual Studio .NET
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with user community, project management, developers, contractors, and all levels of management
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• An ability to work to deadlines
• A good eye for detail
Desirable
• Have solid Agile (SCRUM) experience
• Recent experience of latest version of Angular
• Jira Experience
