Working closely in concert with all the company's record labels, UMe provides a global frontline approach to catalog management, a concentration of resources, a greater emphasis on strategic marketing initiatives and opportunities in new and emerging technologies.
How we LEAD:
Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) is presently seeking a Manager, Audience Growth in the company's Santa Monica, CA location reporting to the Director, Audience Growth. The foundations of the Audience Growth team include Insights, Community Engagement, Strategy, and Data Collection. Core functions involve supporting the Audience Growth team's marketing efforts in the creation and implementation of digital campaigns to increase fan engagement, developing our owned audiences across platforms, working with external partners to secure their support, and executing innovative digital marketing strategies.
How you'll CREATE:
• Work with the Urban team and across all UMG labels to support initiatives that redefine and engage audiences. Find and understand trends, digital narratives and real time conversations to super serve fans with interactive campaigns that drive streaming, and subscription.
• Liaise closely with artists and their representatives regularly to build a foundation of trust
• Oversee the UMe Urban social accounts including Tik Tok, YouTube, IG and Facebook.
• Experience working with agencies, content creators and emerging markets
• Experience with influencer marketing campaigns in how to leverage these relationships to bring our music to a new generation
• Demonstrate an understanding of general digital marketing data points from social media, CRM, and digital advertising
• Innovate and be proactive in bringing progressive digital marketing campaigns and inspiring ideas to the team
• Be a trusted member of the Urban team, understand culture and have a passion for aligning artists into the conversation. Constantly seek to remix and recreate. Must have an understanding of various label partners, eras and moments.
Bring your VIBE:
• 2-4 Years of Experience in the Digital landscape. Must have experience working in the music industry.
• Must have an understanding of Hip Hop, R&B, Funk and Soul.
• Understanding of the technology and marketplace powering today and tomorrow's music industry
• Knowledge of advertising, CRM, fan engagement and analytics and curiosity and openness to learn
• Proven ability to communicate and be a trusted team member
• Excitement for, and understanding of, new digital trends and platforms
• Strong grasp of collaboration and asset management tools
• An unquenchable thirst for innovation, experimentation, and reinvention and a passion for bringing music to the world in innovative ways
• Attention to detail for internal and external operations
• Ability to handle multiple projects and operate effectively in a high-pressured environment
• Discretion necessary to work with sensitive projects and teams

Salary Range:
$64,480-$117,395
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
