How we LEAD:

UMG is currently seeking a Junior Security Engineer in its Global Security Team.

How you’ll CREATE:
• Assist as needed with basic information security needs, including data entry, report generation, etc.
• Gain experience with and operate information security tools and processes to assist GSO in protecting our environment and bolster security
• Become involved with projects as needed to provide support
• Manage communication in regard to penetration testing
• Manage the administration of a computer-based training portal
• Create apps and develop in QuickBase
• Create processes and develop workflows in security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platform
• Use Splunk to query log data
• Understand and interpret network logs and other log sources
• Take meeting notes
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to communicate security-related topics effectively with business representatives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in O365 tools (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft World, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
• Organizational and documentation skills
• Report writing, presentation and interpretation skills
• Self-starter with strong self-organization skills
• Team focus with an ability to work in a matrixed organization
• Bachelor’s degree
• Programming skills (preferred)
• Background in IT and/or information security tools and processes (preferred)
