LABEL PARTNERSHIPS INTERNSHIP
Universal Music Canada is proud to offer students the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the music industry through our Unpaid Internship Program commencing Fall 2018 (September to December). Today’s students may be tomorrow’s employees and this placement will provide interested students with the chance to work with and learn directly from music industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities for Intern:
• Provide day-to-day support to Label Partnerships team
• Perform administrative duties such as: booking meetings, updating procedural documents, place promo orders, maintain distribution lists, and assist with ad-hoc tasks
• Assist with New Release Sheet setup
• Assist with generating various reports: SoundScan, sales, etc
• Perform weekly digital store checks (Apple, iTunes, Spotify etc…)
• Create new release digital featuring reports around streetdate support with one-off projects
• Assist with DMDS (for both radio, press & video)
• Draft content for internal e-communications
• Draft, edit and distribute external communications
• Assist the planning and execution of various special events
• Assist with special projects
Requirements:
• Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program that requires a placement
• Passion for music
• Excellent research and analytics skills.
• Basic knowledge and passion for advertising, music and brands is an asset
• Experience in graphic design (i.e. Photoshop) is an asset
• Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
