The B Side: Skills & Experience
Label operations team ensures the optimum setup and delivery of the world's greatest recorded music catalogue. Growth and innovation in digital platforms mean there are ever more varied ways listeners experience music and become fans of our artists. Creative metadata is the information that wraps around recordings to help consumers find and enjoy the best music for their moment, be it audio or audio-visual.
Be Operational
• Assist Senior Label Operations Manager to embed new label copy and assets gathering protocols with the A&R team, including creative metadata
• Compile and assign voice search metadata to content in line with data standards
• Be responsible for creating video tags and enhancing content descriptions for SEO to aid content discovery
• Work alongside Archive and A&R teams to implement archive themes and creative layers
• Represent Label Operations within the label when it comes to creative metadata best practice, helping to educate and support colleagues and artist teams
• Attend meetings and distribute minutes and feedback where required
Be Collaborative
• Support the Label Operations team in managing workflows that ensure creative vision and artistic integrity remain intact throughout the asset development and marketing process
• Label ambassador for requirements of new and emerging release formats, working with supply chain teams and A&R to implement new processes
Person Specification
• An understanding of metadata and the way the digital space organises itself
• Self-motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic
• Adaptable and able to use initiative
• Fast learner who can work autonomously and solve problems
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Great attention to detail and proven administrative skills
• Passionate about music and the digital landscape – and ultimately a music obsessed fan with broad tastes!
