The A Side: A Day in The Life
Reporting into the head of the HMV and Amazon business partners this is a key role supporting two of UMGs most business critical partners, working in an overall team of five people providing general administrative support to the HMV / Amazon teams.
The B Side: Skills and ExperienceBe operational
• HMV Release Schedule – preparation and submission.
• Setting up Deals and Terms as required.
• Supplying artwork and managing label approvals for all marketing for HMV – ads & graphics.
• Supports preparation and submission of weekly consignment pricing file.
• Weekly store visit followed with written in store summary document v plan.
• Managing pre-order report.
• Assist SNAM with Stock.
• Providing pack shots & sales info to HMV.
• Hmv.com – check all information is present & correct and manage any out of stocks.
• Full responsibility for liaising with labels and setting up all pre-orders on hmv.com.
• Assisting the SNAM with managing the returns process end to end.
• Assisting SNAM with set up and execution of all in-store Pas.
• Ownership of weekly stock-on-hand reporting & report any issues to NAM.
• New release order management process.
• Working with the NAMs to manage the set up and processing of all Retros and Markdowns.
• Assist NAMs with managing the returns process end to end.
• Using Amazon Vendor Central system for agreements, co-ops and general reporting.
• Manage all product changes on Amazon and assist with set up of all pre-orders in conjunction with the account.
• Liaising with key label personnel to collate all key product & promo information for NAMs.
Be analytical
• Setting up and analysing campaign sales trackers.
• Liaise with account to resolve any stock or on-site issues on a daily basis.
• Campaign reporting & analysis.
• Monitor new release orders (actual vs proposed) & report back to NAM.
Be administrative
• Submitting a monthly catalogue listing & deletions list to HMV.
• Preparation of weekly wrap-up document to circulate to key label personnel.
• Updating retail marketing document weekly.
• Full responsibility for setting up and payment of HMV Retros and Markdowns.
• Collates and distributes weekly EPOS Document.
• Manages the weekly EPOS Report for Amazon tracking against market.
• Updating the weekly sell-in document.
• Setting up deals on internal systems.
• Assisting manager with ad hoc reporting requirements.
Person specification
• Hungry, flexible and organised self-starter eager to provide flexible approach and work quickly through day to day worklists and meet deadlines
• Computer literate, with skills in all Microsoft Office products (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel) & Business Objects or similar. Familiarity with Mac OS also an advantage.
• Proactive, self-motivated individual.
• Highly numerate.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good inter-personal skills, confident dealing with people
• Methodical individual with excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Desire to learn new technologies, process, applications.
