Description
Job title: Commercial Intern
Responsible to: Commercial Director
Department: UMC
Location of work: 4PS Kings Cross
Main purpose of the role:
To work alongside the Commercial Director providing support and assistance to them and the function as necessary. Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Work with Streaming Marketing Strategy Lead to develop best practice catalogue streaming initiatives.
• Provide a day-to day link between UMC and digital sales account managers.
• Work with Marketing and Sales to ensure that new release products are set up for pre-order.
• Work with Commercial Affairs and Sales to provide price-drop approvals.
• Ensure that all new releases are correctly set up on OCC website.
• Maintain UMC digital schedule and keep the sales team informed of all release date changes.
• Assist in the development of new catalogue streaming initiatives.
• Help prepare and distribute weekly reports.
• Attend regular meetings with Commercial Director and taking notes and document key information.
• Additional ad hoc duties where required.

Essential
• Passionate about music with a particular interest in streaming.
• The ability to learn quickly.
• Self-motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to keep calm under pressure.
• Flexible and able to prioritise own workload.
• Excellent numeracy skills and commercial awareness.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good computer skills i.e.: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Desirable
• Experience of working in an office environment.
• Experience working in ‘music’ (personal or professional).
• Desire to work within a commercial environment.
