Part Time Unpaid Internship
Description
A&R INTERNSHIP
Universal Music Canada is proud to offer students the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the music industry through our Unpaid Internship Program commencing Fall 2018 (September to December). Today’s students may be tomorrow’s employees and this placement will provide interested students with the chance to work with and learn directly from music industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enter and archive master audio/video masters into database
• Log and archive artist files
• Receive, sort, and listen to incoming demos
• Update project logs
• Manage incoming talent scout packages
• Assist in the management of the scouting tool
• Assist with merchandising
• Carry out general administrative office tasks
• Assist in the facilitation and operation of live events including guest lists, invites, etc.
• Requirements:
• Organization
• An understanding of current and upcoming music trends
• Attention to detail when carrying out administrative tasks
• Excellent written/oral communication skills
• The ability to evaluate music
