Description
Job title: Event Manager (Fixed Term Maternity Cover)
Responsible to: Senior Event Manager

Location of work: Abbey Road Studios
Overview
The Events team at Abbey Road Studios is a small, multi-functioning team responsible for the sales, management and delivery of income generating Events throughout the studios. Reporting to the Senior Event Manager, you will be responsible for managing events of varying size and complexity from enquiry, pre-planning and delivery through to debrief and follow up. As the client’s key contact, you will be responsible for all elements of the process, whilst managing Abbey Road’s internal resources, external suppliers and all supporting processes.
Including (but not limited to):
• Event sales and business development
• Enquiry & Account management
• Budget and process management
• People management
Person Specification:
• Confident, enthusiastic and personable communicator, comfortable dealing with clients and suppliers at all levels
• Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience working in the events industry, preferably in a venue capacity
• Intrinsic interest and passion for music, its history and cultural relevance
• Strong commercial capabilities, negotiating skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills, comfortable with managing detailed processes across multiple concurrent events
• Sound understanding and experience of commercial objectives, budgeting and financial management
• Experience of managing a range of different teams and resources
• Committed to customer service and operational excellence
• Innovative, creative and driven
