Description
How we LEAD:
The Director of Logistics, Inventory and Warehouse Operations will provide onsite support for all UMG Operational processes in the Technicolor Nashville Distribution Center to successfully execute and improve day to day business processes. The Director will collaborate closely with the on-site Technicolor account management and operations teams to ensure the UMG business is executed within the stated service level agreements, key priorities are adhered to, and issues are resolved within appropriate response times. The Director will also represent UMG Operations on process implementation project teams to drive further improvement.
How you'll CREATE:
Distribution Planning:
• Develop, publish, and maintain a Distribution plan for all UMG New Release and Catalog expected shipments, across retail, wholesale, eComm and merchandise channels
• Monitor actual vs plan, performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Coordinate plans with UMG New Release and Catalog teams to establish overall priorities
Day to Day Operations:
• Support day to day business processes in close collaboration with UMG Customer Service (retail & eComm), New Release and Catalogue planning teams and Technicolor Operations teams for all key business processes:
• Receiving and put away (including problem resolution area) for normal and priority product deliveries.
• Inventory management and accuracy, cycle counting, slotting and replenishment
• Outbound pick, pack, shipping, and transportation
• Returns processing and disposition (scrap, rework or return to stock)
• Value added services (Corrugate build, stickering, rework, etc.)
• D2C operations support
• Onsite order management support. Being able to manage and change orders, upgrade routings, trouble shoot, etc.
• Monitor open orders to completion throughout the operation each day
• Escalate any failures to execute and work with UMG and Technicolor teams to prioritize and resolve issues on a pre-emptive basis
• Manage key New Release and Catalog replenishment projects to ensure 100% execution to plan
• Manage and monitor special projects, like priority and high security releases
• Provide backup support for other roles in the UMG Operations teams
• Oversight of one analyst/Assistant Manager
Trouble Shooting and Issue Resolution:
• Key point of contact to investigate and resolve issues experienced by UMG Operations. Examples could include ensure rushed inbound product is received in right away and ready to ship out same day, clear up receiving problems to speed up put away, lead a team to research a quality problem, etc.
• Collaborate with team members to develop decision-support tools
• Help resolve inventory compare issues and make inventory adjustments as appropriate
Analysis and Reporting:
• Collect and analyze data from day-to-day execution, prepare reports on a regular monthly or weekly basis and as needed to facilitate and recommend improvement initiatives
• Performs special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested
Improvement Projects
• Collaborate with team members across UMG and Technicolor organizations to identify and drive initiatives to improve current processes, procedures, and methodologies to improve effectiveness, efficiency and reduce cost
• Prepare and participate in monthly and quarterly business review meetings
• Work with IT teams to implement system enabled process enhancements

Supply Chain Operations Skills and Experience
• Solid understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts, including logistics and general warehouse operations
• Hands-on experience in Distribution and Fulfilment operations and transportation
• Experience managing customer orders effectively through the fulfilment process
• Understanding of modes of transportation, cost, and geography
• Understanding and working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and tools
Analytical Skills
• Ability to analyze data and trends, make educated conclusions based upon data and execute transactions driving real results
• Knows how or where to obtain information; is resourceful
• Demonstrated skills in using excel to analyze and present meaningful findings
• Knowledge and ability to map and analyze processes as basis for analysis and improvement

Languages
• Required: English
• Any other language is an asset
• 10 years' experience working in an operations role and a minimum of five years in a management or leadership capacity
• 5 years' experience and proven, positive track record as a Warehousing and Logistics Analyst or Manager
• 5 years of experience in managing staff/team members
• Demonstrated solid proficiency across the supply chain and especially in Warehousing and Distribution Operations
• Demonstrated technical proficiency with analytic and reporting tools
• 3 years' process improvement experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation. Related experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
