How we LEAD:
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director of Finance and Accounting will guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures. In addition, this role will be responsible for closing the financial month and working with CFO on a variety of FP&A and reporting tasks and initiatives.
How you’ll CREATE:
• Primary day-to-day liaison within Ingrooves finance community assisting CFO with various operational duties and interfacing with Central Accounting Services (CAS) and Corporate Reporting on resolving issues and providing appropriate reports or analytics on all areas of Ingrooves’ P&L, balance sheet and cash flow from operations
• Coordinate and run the monthly close review process with CAS and prepare monthly financial statements for CFO review/approval
• Provide guidance to staff and CAS to ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with appropriate accounting policy
• Review the submission of the financial statements to corporate via the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) consolidation system
• Assist in preparation of various periodic financial statements and supplemental schedule submissions and analyze/provide gap/bridge variance explanations
• Liaise with internal or external auditors and provide audit deliverables and inquiry resolution
• Continue process improvements and develop new, more efficient procedures to assist in meeting tight reporting deadline
• Identify and implement process efficiencies and enhancements to improve productivity and quality of forecasts
• Provide ad hoc analysis as required
Bring your VIBE:
• 8-10 years of financial planning & analysis, strategic planning, accounting and/or audit experience is required
• 3-5 years’ Controller experience a strong plus (close books, read balance sheet, reconciliation schedule, interface with auditors, etc.)
• Music distribution experience preferred
• BA in Accounting or related field of study, MBA or CPA valued.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced financial environment
• Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis
• Candidate must possess strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
