How we LEAD:
The Digital Rights & Content Administrator will serve within the Digital Rights team supporting both Capitol CMG Publishing and Re:Think label strategies. In this role, you will drive short form content monetization, rights management, content development, and video strategy. You will help present to partners, writers, & artist the latest short form video trends and tactics. You should be a results-oriented, quick-thinking, enthusiastic individual. A strong multi-tasker who has developed rapport with internal and external contacts.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and ability contribute to the effectiveness of short form content strategy by development of creative assets, content strategy, and release plans that expand the reach and influence of our songs, writers, artists, and strategic partners.
Hoe you'll CREATE:
• Review short form content at YouTube for Capitol CMG Publishing copyright claims
• Assist with developing strategy for catalog and new releases utilizing short form content
• Flag new trends happening on social platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
• Edit and cut short-form video content from partner supplied videos
• Identify song segments from catalog & new releases to be delivered to YouTube & TikTok audio libraries
• Research and present best practices for content optimization
• Fluent knowledge of YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels editing suites
• Ideate potential short form content from catalog assets
• Maintain understanding of the social media landscape and which types of content perform well on their respective platforms
• Generate reports as needed with regards to catalog performance and monetization
• Organize and gather YouTube data necessary for serving partner meeting and cross divisional meetings
• Provide on-going support to CCMG Publishing leadership to champion priorities, initiatives and partners
• Additional job responsibilities as assigned
Bring your VIBE:
• Video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, or equivalent
• Fluid with Social Media and content
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and be able to assess and creatively solve problems
• Understanding of digital music and publishing fundamentals
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Ability to work with limited supervision and with multiple stakeholders/individuals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently
• Ability to develop strong professional relationships, including artist and artist managers
• Must be discreet and professional at all times and maintain absolute confidentiality as this position regularly handles sensitive information.
• Experience in music industry or content creation/marketing
• College degree preferred
