Mercury Studios is a multi-faceted content studio established to develop, produce, and invest in innovative, music-based storytelling. In addition to content development and production, Mercury Studios includes our award-winning library that includes nearly 2,000 hours of programming and more than 800 titles of original documentaries. Mercury Studios produces content with music continuing to serve as the foundation for projects across performance/live, factual/reality, scripted, artist and filmmaker partnerships and remastering and audio originals via film and television content, podcasts and short.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Operational
• The Channel Manager will oversee the daily operations of multiple YouTube channels
• Be responsible for video optimization, community engagement, and channel curation
• Be responsible for producing and presenting high-quality reports that analyse performance and provide actionable insights for the team
• Help build out new handles across social platforms outside of YouTube using platform best practices
Be Collaborative
• Work collaboratively with the SVP of Digital Content to advise on the YouTube strategy
• Be the point person working with other departments to manage monetisation, rights, clearances, and our asset library
Be Strategic
• Implement that strategy across multiple YouTube channels
• Implement audience development strategies to grow the channels
Person Specification
Necessary
• A love of music, modern and classic
• A proven track record working on YouTube, YouTube certified a plus but not mandatory
• Able to design bespoke reports around channel performance and analytics
• Knowledge of YouTube Creator Studio and the YouTube Content Management System
• Excellent attention to detail
• Creatively minded and ideas focused, always looking to evolve our digital content strategy
• A proven track record with a publisher rather than a brand
