Description
Job title: Business Process Analyst
Responsible to: Senior Director, Finance Operations
Department: Global Finance Operations
Location of work: 4 Pancras Square, Kings Cross
The A Side: A Day in The Life
In our global Finance Operations organisation, you will join a team of experienced business process analysts and will work on the optimization of global finance processes and the rollout of the SAP FICO ERP system with the associated (interfaced) systems. In a team of Business Process Analysts, the candidate “owns” one or more processes around Order-to-Cash, Purchase-to-Pay, Tax and HR.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Knowledgeable
• The ability to understand each step of the end to end process, the roles and responsibilities of all participants in the process and the strengths and weaknesses / pain points of the process
• Able to prepare and maintain training materials and documentation
• The ability to understand the software available to support each of these steps, which requires knowledge of the software’s functionality and understanding of its limits without having the in-depth expertise to develop the software
• Able to confidently present to the business on technical matter and is able to translate technical terms into business terminology
Be Commercial
• Responsible for distinguishing between customer requests and the actual underlying business requirements
• Responsible for quickly understands the customers’ business environment, proactively assesses its strengths and weaknesses and able to recommend areas of improvement
• Able to understands requirements articulated in non-technological language, assess where current software does not fulfil these and visualize possible solutions
• Able to critically evaluate customer requests where these deviate from Best Practice / Template solutions and challenge the customer’s paradigms without neglecting real opportunities to improve the template solution
Be Collaborative
• Manage the communication between the customers and the technical teams / developers
• can work together with the technical Solution Architects / developers to establish the technical solution and analyze tradeoffs between development cost / system performance and customer requirements;
• Oversees and steers the migration logic, simulations and documentation during a country rollout project
Person Specification
Necessary
• Experience with SAP rollouts in Purchase-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash & Tax area and good understanding of functional side of SAP in these areas
• Solid experience in Financial Accounting including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable or equivalent
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• The ability to take ownership of problems and independently find solutions
• Proactive in managing workload in a dynamic environment
• Can be assertive at appropriate times
Desirable
• Accounting qualification (ACA or equivalent)
• Experience as FI/CO functional consultant
• Experience in the media / content industry
• Second language, preferably Spanish or Mandarin
