The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Operational
• Manage the AV Content Supervisor and AV Technician
• Planning and Development of high quality and reliable AV systems
• Installation, support, and maintenance of AV including asset and issue management
• Conduct regular performance reviews, plan the professional development, and source appropriate training for all direct reports
• Manage the AV services contract with UMG preferred supplier
• Manage all other AV service contracts (outside of the preferred supplier)
• Ensure all AV services within meeting rooms function in line with business requirements
• Manage the procurement of new AV equipment as per business requirements
• Manage the AV team budget and ensure the AV budget and any spend receives appropriate sign-off
• On a fortnightly basis, report on service delivery, projects and budgets
• On a quarterly basis report on projected capital expenditure for refreshing AV equipment
• Manage the approvals and payment of invoices in a timely manner via our finance system Uniport
• Produce annual cost and performance benchmarking for AV contracts and manage the tendering and procurement process as required
• Regularly report on supplier service level agreements and key performance indicators
• Attend and programme AV team works relating to moves ensuring adequate resourcing and pre-planning
• Be available to attend and troubleshoot AV issues for staff, the executive team and UMG artists
• Supporting events and managing pricing and budgets for AV services
• Event development, planning, production & post-production staffing, services and support
• User support, training, documentation, and maintenance
• Install AV cabling for offices and meeting rooms as required
• Assist at a handful of offsite events / exec meetings throughout the year
Person Specification
• Team management (including line management of multiple direct reports)
• Experience working with high-end, professional audio equipment
• Planning and execution of projects and internal moves
• Dealing with AV issues and finding a resolution quickly
• Providing AV support to complex organisations
• Comfortable in working in high pressure environments (events, board meetings and Artist performances)
• Strong knowledge base of Crestron hardware and software
• Video conferencing experience (Polycom, Zoom etc.)
• QSYS software knowledge
• Adept at using IPTV software
• Pro level knowledge of high end HIFI systems and Studio Monitoring equipment
• Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
