UMG is looking for an Assistant Manager, Creative Production to join the Creative Strategy and Production team within our eCommerce & Label Services group, dedicated to supporting our eCommerce stores. The Creative Strategy and Production team is responsible for the creative output around Product, Site Experience, Content and Deliverables. We serve as the bridge between artist / label teams and our internal creative teams, working to translate an artist's vision into their eCommerce experience. The Assistant Manager will support Creative Strategy and Production team responsibilities across a wide roster, with an emphasis on project management of requests with our internal Creative Services team (Design, Video/Motion Graphics, and Photography). The Assistant Manager will collaborate with additional internal stakeholders to elevate UMG eCommerce's creative output for our labels & rights owners, artists, and-most importantly-their fans.
How you'll CREATE:
• Directly support Creative Strategy Leads in their day-to-day responsibilities.
• Work collaboratively with internal Creative teams in support of work across Product, Site, Content and Deliverables.
• Help project manage product development and design that will often serve as the cornerstone for further campaign creative.
• Work with Creative Services (Graphic Design, Video and Photo) to deliver high quality, on-narrative site experiences, as well as content and assets that support eCommerce releases and represent the artist's brand appropriately.
• Ensure the artist's narrative is fully represented across the creative we deliver.
• Research uses of creative (media and content) in support of eCommerce across digital channels, both within and outside of the music industry.
• Work collaboratively and cross-functionally across eCommerce teams.
• Work hand in hand with the eCommerce Experience & Site Merchandising team to leverage historic and audience data to inform creative output.
• Collaborate with teammates across Artist Engagement, Store Management, Operations & Customer Service, as needed, to collectively deliver a great customer experience to our fans and UMG artists.
Bring your VIBE:
• 1-3 years experience supporting creative and/or eCommerce campaigns, preferably in music or fashion/retail.
• Experience with creative concepting, as well as selling through concepts to clients.
• Natural collaborator. Must be willing to set ego aside in order to deliver for our customers (both fans and artists).
• Exceptional verbal and written abilities - communication and presentation skills are essential (both internally and externally).
• Essential understanding of what goes into our work and this role, including:
• Music fandom and the fan to artist connection.
• Brand differentiation across artists and music genres.
• eCommerce, specifically trends and best practices as they apply to the fan to artist relationship.
• Creative approach to problem solving.
• Comfortable juggling multiple high priority projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stay flexible, calm and collected under pressure, and to be accountable for meeting deadlines amidst changing client needs.
• Self-starter attitude, capable of owning tasks from start to finish.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint) and Mac OS required.
• Photoshop and InDesign experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of product sourcing and production (inclusive of music product / box sets) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in music business, fashion/retail, marketing, creative, or a related field.
