Description
Job title: Artist & Media Relations Manager (Maternity Cover)
Responsible to: Director of Artist & Media Relations
Department: Publicity & Promotions
Location of work: Dublin
Main Purpose of role
To manage media campaigns for release output from UMG Ireland to include online, press, radio and TV.
Key Responsibilities:
• Management of high-level artist promotion media campaigns to include pitching, liaison and logistics.
• Liaison with artists, artist managers and label representatives.
• Building key relationships with media (covering the full mix of press, radio, TV and digital) as appropriate to the roster.
• Updating and managing promo forecast and budgets. Responsible for financial management for all aspects of promotional activities.
• Attendance at relevant company meetings, events and artist press/promotion as necessary.
• National and overseas travel as necessary.
Person Specification
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with a proven and established network in this area
• Ability to demonstrate successful execution of creative media campaigns
• Ability to work under own initiative and an appetite to drive forward artist profile
• Excellent organisational and project / campaign management skills
• Ability to manage a large number of different projects simultaneously
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
• Able to demonstrate a diplomatic approach
• Professional, proactive and flexible approach to work – which may include out of office working hours including weekends and travel
• Working knowledge of online media
• Passionate about music and knowledgeable about a variety of genres, acts and artists
• Experience in using in-house computer systems and packages including Excel, Word and Outlook
