JOB DESCRIPTION:
Universal Music Group is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant in our Santa Monica, CA office location:
Overview:
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to Vice President of Film &TV Music Licensing in a high volume, customer-oriented, multi-tasking environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for processing and execution of synchronization licenses and management of multiple related priorities.
• Analyze, review and resolve revisions requested for various sync licenses.
• Responsible for strengthening and maintaining key client relationships with public performance
societies such as ASCAP, BMI and SESAC along with leading advertising agencies concerning submission of commercial claims and cue sheets.
• Acquire all necessary commercial assets from advertising agencies to register and submit commercial claims with affiliate Performance Societies within a timely manner.
• Review cue sheets for accuracy of song information and use in accordance with the applicable synchronization license.
• Collaborate with Sync Coordinator on license fee collections.
• Maintain and update synchronization licensing databases.
• Answer phones and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Safeguard confidential and proprietary information.
• Manage and maintain department files and stock of department office supplies.
• Handle various projects and other duties as directed by supervisor.
