UTA seeks a Senior Network & Systems Engineer to join the Technology team. As a key member of the Technology department, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging modern cloud technologies, including AWS and Azure, and has experience working on cloud governance projects, Terraform-based deployments, and cloud networking solutions.
What You Will Do
• Architect, deploy, and maintain secure network and systems infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments
• Lead endpoint lifecycle management using Intune/Autopilot and Jamf
• Administer identity and access management using Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID) Premium, and Group Policy
• Design and implement monitoring, configuration management, logging, and reporting.
• Automate operations using PowerShell, Bash, and Python to improve reliability and reduce manual effort
• Provide Tier 3 support and act as the final escalation for complex systems, network, and security issues
• Administer core business platforms including Windows Server, macOS, Microsoft 365, Box, Slack, ServiceNow, and Zoom Rooms
• Manage and support VoIP/UC systems (e.g., Avaya IP Office) and related network interfaces
• Partner with Security to identify threats, implement preventative controls, and support incident response
• Lead asset management, CMDB accuracy, and lifecycle documentation
• Define, document, and enforce standards, SOPs, and best practices
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and Service Desk staff
• Participate in after-hours support and scheduled maintenance as needed
What You Will Need
• 8 years in Systems/Network Engineering or Senior Systems Administration supporting 500 users
• Advanced endpoint management experience with SCCM/Intune and Jamf
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server (2012), Windows 10/11, and macOS
• Strong experience with Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID) Premium, Group Policy, and LDAP
• Proven scripting/automation expertise with PowerShell, Bash, and Python
• Advanced troubleshooting across systems, networks, identity, and endpoints
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity threats, controls, and hardening strategies
• Experience with Service Desk platforms and escalation workflows
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and documentation skills
