DESCRIPTION:
UTA seeks a Director, Accounting who will be responsible for leading the US general ledger team through the monthly close process. You will influence GL operational strategy, develop a high-performance team, and reduce the time to close while maintaining accuracy. The ideal candidate is highly motivated to automate processes, detail-oriented, and a team player that excels in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in our Beverly Hills, CA office.
What You Will Do
• Lead and orchestrate the fast-paced US month-end close, ensuring precision and timely results that power key business decisions
• Serve as key contact with external financial statement auditors
• Coach and inspire a standout General Ledger Accounting team, fostering growth, ownership, and a high-performance culture
• Partner with Corporate Technical Accounting Group to interpret and implement new guidance
• Maintain documentation of core accounting close procedures
• Help with accounting integration of new business units and newly acquired companies
• Spearhead process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement
• Drive special projects with creative problem-solving as needed
What You Will Need
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree, and have active CPA license.
• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, including public and private accounting
• NetSuite knowledge a plus
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
• Proven ownership of accounting transformation, with an interest or expertise in automation
• History of leading teams in an innovative and high-growth environment
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills with ability to drive initiatives across teams
• Strategic thinker and problem solver with an ability to manage complexity, deadlines and evolving priorities
