We are currently hiring for the position of:
LOGISTICS COORDINATOR, FESTIVAL STREET
Reporting to the Manager, Festival Logistics, the Logistics Coordinator, Festival Street is responsible for the coordination and onsite supervision of all equipment, logistical production elements and site management of TIFF programming, and partner activations for Festival Street.
This role leads day-to-day production execution and supervises on-site teams, working closely with the Assistant Logistics Manager, Festival Street & Venues to deliver approved plans safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The Logistics Coordinator translates planning direction into operational action and serves as the primary on-site lead for production activity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shall include but not be limited to:
Planning and Coordination
• Assist Assistant Logistics Manager, Festival Street & Venues in coordinating all logistical elements of Festival Street.
• Assist the coordination of comprehensive production and operational plans and timelines for Festival Street.
• Sourcing and costing out rented or purchased venue-related equipment and services, within a given budget.
Leadership & Supervision
• Create training documentation and assist in training on logistics-related items.
• Provide direct, hands-on supervision to Production Supervisor, Area Supervisors, Production Assistants, Fan Zone logistics staff and volunteers.
• Assign daily tasks, prepare work orders, and manage labour deployment during builds and strikes.
• Manage break and meal schedules for production staff.
• Foster a safe, collaborative, and professional on-site working environment.
On-Site Production and Execution
• Execute approved production and site plans for Festival Street as developed by the Assistant Logistics Manager.
• Coordinate daily build, operational, and strike activities in alignment with established schedules and priorities.
• Manage delivery, setup, installation, and removal of rental equipment and supplies as required.
• Ensure the site is built and operated according to plan while maintaining production timelines.
• Act as the on-site TIFF representative for production and logistics activities on Festival Street.
• Communicate real-time operational updates, challenges, and schedule changes to the Assistant Logistics Manager.
• Coordinate production vehicle traffic and on-site access.
• Support load-in and load-out of sponsor and partner activations.
Post-Festival
• Deliver detailed post mortem notes and post-festival reporting on or before September 23rd, 2026.
Other duties as assigned.
NOTE – this position may involve extended hours during the Festival and during the build and tear down periods, September 1 - 23.

WORK LOCATION:
• Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
• Weekly in-office requirements:
• Minimum 2 days (November to April)
• Minimum 3 days (May to October)
• Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Education & Experience
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale event, theatre or festival production or logistics.
• Experience supervising staff in live event or production environments.
• Experience with outdoor public event sites and high-volume areas is a strong asset.
• University degree, college diploma, or equivalent work experience.
• Skill:
• Experience creating and coordinating production schedules.
• Experience obtaining bids and working with vendors.
• Strong on-site leadership and team coordination skills.
• Ability to execute detailed plans accurately under tight timelines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• High attention to detail and strong situational awareness.
• Demonstrated supervisory capabilities.
• Ability to clearly layout processes and procedures for others to follow.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator or other layout and mapping programs is an asset.

• Ability to work irregular hours (overnights, early mornings, weekends) as required.
• Being aware of surroundings for an extended period of time while operating around vehicles, public, security needs, etc.
• Physical Effort:
• While the majority of this contract length is focused on planning and coordination, on-site presence will be required during build, Festival and strike.
• During peak operations it will require:
• Ability to stand for extended period of time
• Ability to lift and carry between 10-35lbs
• Ability to support physical production build of Festival Street as required
• Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

• Strong flexibility required, including evenings and weekends
• Combination of office-based planning work and outdoor, on-site Festival operations.
• Festival, including the build and tear down, may include some physical exertion, as well as mostly standing and walking.
