Digital Content Editor

This is a Full Time Job

Toba Media is seeking a freelance full-time Digital Content Editor for our genre brands DUST and ALTER. This is a contract position with full-time hours, primarily focused on prep and QA work with ad hoc creative projects. You'll be working exclusively with already-finished content - licensed short films, features, & series ready to be packaged and delivered, alongside short films prepared for online exhibition and social.

Short Film Preparation
Preparing short films for online exhibition and social, including: importing and converting to 4:5 with burned-in captions; creating social assets (vertical clip, 2 GIFs, animated graphics); and assembling anthologies within pre-made templates.

FAST Content Preparation
Preparing licensed content (series, features, docs) for FAST exhibition, including: TV-14 censoring and spreadsheet logging; ad break insertion; caption QC; and creating Next-Up teasers (sound bites, music, title treatments, revisions). Ad-hoc platform promos built in After Effects using motion graphics templates. All packages exported and delivered via Media Shuttle.

Asset Management
Downloads via Media Shuttle are scheduled overnight. Daily responsibilities include: monitoring Airtable for priorities; communicating with the Operations Manager; logging status updates per naming conventions; maintaining censoring/CTA spreadsheets; QA'ing own output; and troubleshooting as needed. Office systems accessed remotely via Jump Desktop.
