
Executive Assistant to the President and CEO

Under limited supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and strategic support to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The WNET Group (WNET). This role serves as a trusted partner to the CEO, managing priorities, facilitating communication, coordinating key initiatives, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Executive Office.
The Executive Assistant regularly handles highly sensitive, confidential, strategic, and proprietary information and exercises exceptional judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all interactions. Serving as a primary representative of the Office of the President & CEO, this position interfaces with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, donors, government officials, community leaders, and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, resourceful professional who can anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Executive Support:
• Manages and prioritizes the President/CEO's complex calendar, appointments, meetings, travel, conferences, and special events, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities;
• Anticipates the President/CEO's needs by proactively identifying scheduling conflicts, preparing materials, and coordinating follow-up actions;
• Coordinates and manages all travel arrangements, including transportation, lodging, itineraries, and related logistics;
• Drafts, edits, proofreads, and prepares correspondence, reports, presentations, speeches, briefing materials, and other communications on behalf of the President/CEO;
• Screens and prioritizes incoming communications, correspondence, and requests, exercising independent judgment regarding appropriate action and response;
• Manages the President/CEO's office operations, records, and files while ensuring the highest level of confidentiality and data security;
Board and Leadership Support:
• Serves as a liaison between the President/CEO, Board members, senior leadership, and key stakeholders;
• Assists in preparing presentations, reports, and supporting materials for Board meetings, fundraising activities, strategic planning sessions, and executive leadership meetings;
• Maintains professional and responsive communication with Board members and other high-level stakeholders;
Project Coordination and Stakeholder Relations:
• Coordinates special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the President/CEO, tracking deliverables, deadlines, and outcomes;
• Collaborates with departments across the organization to gather information, monitor progress, and facilitate communication regarding executive priorities;
• Builds and maintains positive working relationships with donors, community leaders, government officials, business partners, and external constituents;
• Represents the Office of the President/CEO with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment;
Administrative Operations:
• Receives and welcomes visitors, ensuring a professional and positive experience;
• Assembles and organizes materials required for meetings, presentations, and executive decision-making;
• Maintains accurate records, reports, and documentation related to executive office activities;
• Performs other duties and special assignments as required to support the President/CEO and organizational objectives;
Qualifications:
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible executive administrative experience supporting a CEO, President, C-suite executive, or comparable senior leader;
• Experience supporting a Board of Directors and executive leadership team strongly preferred;
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines;
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities;
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion;
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
• Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with individuals at all organizational levels as well as external stakeholders;
• Proven ability to operate independently, anticipate needs, and resolve issues proactively;
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy;
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly visible environment.
This position will require an onsite presence 5 days per week. The WNET Group reserves the right to change and/or modify this schedule at its discretion.

The compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $135,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
