Job Summary:
About the Role:
Sr Manager, Financial Well-Being and Executive Benefits plays a pivotal role in shaping and managing The Walt Disney Company's financial well-being programs – including the Qualified and Non-Qualified Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Plans, as well as other Executive Benefits. This position provides senior-level analytical support and hyper-care; this includes acting as a subject matter expert (SME) on retirement and executive programs, ensuring compliance, strategic alignment, and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager, you will lead critical initiatives and oversee processes to ensure the success of Disney's financial well-being and executive benefits programs. Your role will involve solving complex problems, defining strategies, and inspiring individual and business success including employee engagement with the robust financial programs offered by The Walt Disney Company to its employees and Cast Members. Key responsibilities include:
• Lead executive hypercare function, supporting senior executives as they prepare for leaving or joining the Company; work with SMEs to resolve other benefits issues as appropriate.
• Day-to-day project management and process improvement of our financial well-being and executive programs as well as retirement programs.
• Work with the Sr. Manager, Retirement Programs and Director, US Retirement Programs, Benefits Policies & Segment Support to guide plan design changes, ensure compliance, and oversee strategic communications to drive the employee experience.
• Lead major projects impacting Enterprise Benefits priorities, including M&A support, reorganizations, and data measurement strategies; where applicable, research program requirements, plan documents and/or contracts. Identifies best practices.
• Perform necessary information gathering, analysis, benchmarking, synthesis, and reporting to ensure compliance with local, state and federal benefits regulations. Partner with other functional subject matter experts (SMEs) (payroll, legal, HRIS, administrators, etc.) to respond to regulatory and legal requests.
• Develop meaningful relationships with team members to support their career aspirations and connect their motivations to the team's work, including continuous coaching and feedback to fuel high performance and align individual contributions with team goals.
• Demonstrate care and compassion by addressing difficult issues with kindness and flexibility.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in benefits administration or related field.
• Proficiency in retirement plan administration, including Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data reconciliation and compliance.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment; results/action oriented
• Experience managing vendor relationships and implementing benefit administration systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and functions.
• Expert in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); proficient in extractions from Enterprise Resource Planning systems and data warehouses.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong leadership and team building skills
• Experience in the implementation of benefit administration systems and processes
• Benefits or management consulting experience
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and organizational restructuring.
• Master's or Actuarial Sciences degree
