
Litigation Paralegal

This role sits out of our Orlando, FL offices and this person will be required to be on site a minimum of 4x/week

What You Will Do
• Coordinate company response to third-party subpoenas.
• Facilitate company responses to court ordered legal processes such as UCC liens and employee wage garnishments
• Coordinate company responses to consumer and government agency correspondence.
• Review and respond to consumer letters regarding intellectual property.
• May support in evaluating new lawsuits, supervising document retention and coordinating case assignments.
• May support in revising written discovery and pleadings for accuracy and completeness.
• May support in coordinating with outside counsel and internal business areas to gather documents and information to meet court deadlines.
• May support in the preparation, assistance, monitoring and reporting on trials.
• Draft case correspondence.
• Attend to administrative responsibilities of the Department.
• Manage calendars and deadlines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• 1 – 3 years' experience in a law firm or in-house legal department;
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to perform efficiently in fast paced environment.
• Ability to effectively interact with various levels of the corporation.
• Ability to manage and coordinate case calendars and meet deadline.
Education
• Bachelor's degree and/or qualification to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and any applicable state codes
