We are seeking a Paralegal to join the Corporate Legal Litigation group in Anaheim, California. This position assists in-house attorneys, outside counsel, and senior litigation paralegals with all facets of case preparation, and in a variety of litigation matters including employment, personal injury, consumer and disability access.
What You Will Do
• Provide support for legal matters, including litigation and advice and counsel.
• Assist with document collection from various business units.
• Prepare responses and reports related to claims, demand letters, and litigation requests.
• Review and revise pleadings, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Assist with witness interviews and depositions.
• Assist with responding to subpoenas.
• Assist with small claims matters and responses to administrative complaints.
• Coordinate and attend site inspections across the Disneyland Resort premises.
• As a 24-hour operation this position requires the paralegal to be flexible with his/her schedule to attend after hours inspections and witness interviews.
• Assist with drafting and issuing legal holds.
• Assist senior level paralegals with database management including case files and subpoenas.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• At least 1 year of litigation experience in a reputable law firm or major in-house legal department.
• Ability to handle multiple cases and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Ability to conduct factual research.
• Knowledge in document collection and electronic discovery.
• Ability to demonstrate good communication skills and judgment, both verbally and in writing.
• Prior work experience at the Disneyland Resort or a Disney affiliated company is a plus.
Education:
• A Bachelor's Degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and any applicable state codes.
** This position is based at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, with 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday) in the office.
Salary/Benefits
$72,000 - $96,500 /year USD
The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
