Below the Line (BTL) Assistant

The Gersh Agency seeks an efficient, multi-tasking Assistant for the Music Video/Branded Content/Commercial division in their Below-the-Line Production Department.
Clients include Award winning cinematographers, production designers and costume designers
Different from your typical agency talent or literary assistant position, this desk is recommended for applicants interested in learning more about the commercial/music video production aspect of the industry and Below the Line representation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a high volume of emails and phone calls from clients, producers, production company EPs/staff and accounting dept.
Draft, send, and track all deal memos
Correspond with producers regarding client availability
Effectively communicate and interact with high-profile clients, prospective clients and executives with utmost professionalism
Ability to make sound decisions efficiently and effectively using critical thinking and practical approaches
Manage agent call list
Update client calendars through inEntertainment as projects come in
Communicate deal points to the accounting department through Trust Accounting
Oversee process for completion of projects with clients and production and obtain elements for booked jobs
Maintain a detailed spreadsheet of all booked client projects
Prepare expense reports


JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required
• Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion
• Prior talent agency experience is recommended but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior time management and multi-tasking skills
• Able to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills are paramount
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Willingness to make a one-year commitment
