Fall and Spring Intern - Awards Event Production

This is a Part Time Paid Internship

The Actor Awards is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team. On February 28th, 2027, the Actor Awards will be streaming live on Netflix recognizing outstanding performances in film and television. The show is a highly respected and prestigious event in the entertainment industry.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated team to assist in the planning and execution of the Actor Awards ceremony. You will gain invaluable experience and knowledge about event production, awards shows, and the entertainment industry.

The position is hybrid, as you must work on-site at least one day a week in the Actor Awards offices, located in mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles.

Responsibilities:

• Provide general administrative support such as answering union member questions via phone and email.
• Collaborate with the social media and marketing team for content creation, copywriting, and post scheduling.
• Assist with presentation prep, manage internal documents, update member film/tv screening lists, and other tasks as assigned.
• Contribute to publicity, marketing, social, and production meetings and brainstorms for campaigns, show presenters, red carpet activations, and events – your voice is valued in our small work environment!
• Research potential sponsors and partners for the Actor Awards.
• Support the social team with graphic design.
• Help with the preparation of press materials and media outreach.

Requirements:

• Ability to work extended hours during peak periods, including submissions, nominations, and show week (and weekend) with compensation.
• Must be able to work for both the fall and winter/spring quarters/semesters due to the nature of the awards season schedule.
• Current college student – can be in masters or undergraduate programs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – confidence on the phone is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Knowledge of and interest in social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X (Twitter).
• Passion for the entertainment industry and awards shows.
