Content Producer

This is a Full Time Job

• Seeks a Content Producer who is responsible for the creation of the newscasts and other news programs as needed.
• Produce live daily newscasts as needed, stacking, writing, timing, and managing rundowns with precision.
• Write scripts, conversational scripts that resonate with viewers and maintain clarity across platforms.
• Showcase stories creatively with graphics, teases, live elements, and interactive anchor/reporter moments to keep viewers engaged.
• Maintain strong editorial judgment, accuracy, fairness, and context in all content.
• React quickly to breaking news, updating and re-stacking content for both broadcast and digital.
• Create content across platforms including TV and digital.
• Participate in planning for both daily coverage and long-term projects.
• Develop special projects involving community and social content.
• Work closely with News Director, Executive Producer, and Assignment Manager on story/sweeps planning and coordination.
• Understand newscast mission, station priorities, and be familiar with all the platforms.
• Leadership: take responsibility for own actions and take risks for the team and be a team player.
• Be detail oriented, organized, and able to handle intense deadline pressure.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish and must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
• Minimum 2 years producer experience or writing/editing.
• Excellent news judgment, creative ideas, and writing skills a must.
• Must have leadership qualities, be detail oriented, organized, and able to handle intense deadline pressure.

• Must be willing to work long hours, varying shifts (including nights and weekends) and report to work in emergencies depending upon news coverage when necessary.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
