Promoter / Marketing Lead - U.S. Premiere screening of the film A Perfect Song, followed by a short live musical performance.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced, professional promoter and marketer to lead audience development and on-the-ground promotion for the U.S. premiere of A Perfect Song.
There are humanitarian causes associated with the release; applicants should be prepared to understand and represent those elements accurately.

Key Responsibilities
Event promotion and outreach: Identify and secure promotional locations; coordinate street teams, flyering, and partner outreach at music stores, rehearsal spaces, schools, and venues.
On-site logistics coordination: Arrange and manage local contacts, deposits, permits, venue liaisons, stage setup, lights, and sound requirements.
Marketing and digital promotion: Create and execute social media campaigns, email updates for sign-ups, and targeted outreach to musician communities.
Press and media: Draft and distribute press releases and promotional materials tied to trailers and promotional videos.
Partnership development: Build relationships with local promoters, music organizations, radio, and community groups to maximize attendance.
Reporting: Track outreach results, ticket sign-ups, and provide concise post-event reporting and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience promoting concerts, film screenings, or music events in the U.S. market.
Strong local network of venue contacts, music retailers, promoters, and community organizations.
Hands-on event operations knowledge including basic sound and lighting coordination and vendor management.
Digital marketing skills: social media strategy, email marketing, and basic content promotion.
Excellent written and verbal communication; professional, timely, and detail oriented.
Ability to represent the project with sensitivity to the film's artistic and humanitarian context and to communicate its significance to musician and arts communities.
Preferred
Experience promoting independent film premieres or music documentary screenings.
Existing relationships with musician communities, conservatories, or music schools.
Demonstrated success growing event attendance through grassroots and digital tactics.
Salary/Benefits
Compensation
The premiere is scheduled for late November. This position will begin three weeks prior to the event and will run for a total duration of three weeks. The role requires a commitment of approximately 5 to 8 hours per day to ensure successful execution. This is a freelance project-based engagement, compensated at a total base rate of $3,500.
