POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Account Executive, Corporate Partnerships is a key sales position for the Corporate Partnerships team, charged with both managing current partners and winning new ones to support the Sundance Film Festival and Sundance Institute programs throughout the year.
This full-time position is based within the greater Los Angeles, CA area in order to work onsite in a hybrid capacity throughout the year. While much of the day-to-day work may be performed remotely, this position will need to work onsite in a hybrid capacity at key points and attend in-person meetings with partners. This role works extended hours, including evenings and weekends at key points and will require travel to Institute offices and events on occasion.
Sundance Institute is a unionized workforce and this position is in the bargaining unit.
Top priorities include but are not limited to:
• Managing a portfolio of approximately $2.5M annually, including Festival and year-round partnerships, for both revenue and in-kind support growth.
• Supporting the department's total annual revenue goal through proactive account management, generating new business, and ownership of a sales pipeline for all Festivals (annual Sundance Film Festival and third-party partnerships) and year-round programs.
• Overseeing a portfolio of approximately 20-30 corporate partners, including leading renewal negotiations, managing contract negotiations in partnership with the Institute's legal team, and managing activations tied to Institute and Festival programs.
• Working with the Partnership Marketing team, and seasonal Festival team members who specialize in activation for corporate partnerships, to assure quality deliverables for our clients.
• Being accountable to revenue goals, creating a roadmap for both renewals and new business development that support the likelihood of success.
• Providing accurate forecasting of your revenues weekly to the Associate Director and greater corporate partnerships team.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• 5 years of experience in pitching and managing multiple corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and/or sales, with direct experience in the media industry.
• Ability to express a clear value proposition to potential corporate partners.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and projects, and stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Outstanding relationship-building communication skills to communicate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
You will be successful in this role if you?
• Meet or exceed your individual revenue goal of $2.5M.
• Create a continuous pipeline of new prospects, generating a minimum of 3 new partnerships valued at $500k per year.
• Earn an annual partner renewal rate of 80%.

Salary/Benefits
$70,000 - $90,000 /year USD
Final rate of pay is determined based on the applicant's geographic location, relevant experience and skills, and internal equity among similar positions within our organization.
