Seasonal Graphic Designer
POSITION OVERVIEW
Sundance Institute is seeking a temporary Graphic Designer to support creative marketing initiatives and partnership campaigns across Sundance Collab. This role will produce and execute visual assets that support artist programs, educational initiatives, partnership activations, and digital marketing campaigns across a variety of platforms and audiences.
The Seasonal Graphic Designer, Sundance Collab will work closely across the Collab team and maintain a dual reporting relationship with the Associate Director, Collab Marketing and the Creative Director. In partnership with both creative and marketing leadership, this role will support campaigns and programming tied to partnerships while maintaining consistency with Sundance Institute brand standards.
The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, adaptable, and experienced in creating compelling visual assets for digital campaigns, creative organizations, media brands, or nonprofit arts environments. They are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, interpreting creative direction, and producing polished deliverables within fast-moving production timelines.
This is a temporary part-time position expected to begin as soon as possible and continue through Thursday, December 31, 2026. The role is expected to average approximately 15–20 hours per week depending on campaign and program activity. This is a fully remote role that may be based out of any of our operating states and does not require any onsite work duties.
Top priorities include but are not limited to:
• Designing and producing visual assets supporting partnership campaigns, artist initiatives, and educational programming across Sundance Collab.
• Creating graphics and marketing materials for partnerships, AI Literacy initiatives, and additional programs as assigned.
• Designing social media assets, digital advertising materials, email graphics, presentation templates, promotional tiles, and web-ready creative assets.
• Supporting the visual execution of online intensives, workshops, creative challenges, and virtual programming tied to partnership initiatives.
• Adapting creative assets across multiple formats and channels while maintaining brand consistency and accessibility considerations.
• Collaborating with marketing, partnerships, and program teams to execute creative deliverables aligned with campaign goals and timelines.
• Applying Sundance Institute brand guidelines consistently across partnership and program materials.
• Preparing final files in appropriate formats and specifications for digital, social, presentation, print, and web distribution.
• Participating in creative reviews and incorporating feedback efficiently while balancing multiple concurrent priorities.
• Supporting ongoing design requests and evolving campaign needs throughout the temporary assignment.
• Maintaining organized project files, templates, and creative asset libraries.
• Coordinating timelines and deliverables across multiple partnership campaigns and program initiatives.
• Helping manage creative workflows and production schedules to support timely campaign launches and program communications.
• Contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency, organization, and collaboration across creative projects.
You have the following direct or transferable qualifications and skills:
• 2 years of professional graphic design experience across digital, social, web, presentation, or marketing design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience creating campaign assets, branded content, or digital marketing materials.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience designing for social media platforms, email marketing, digital advertising, and web-based formats.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting creative campaigns within entertainment, media, nonprofit arts, education, or cultural organizations is preferred.
• Familiarity with motion graphics, animated assets, or short-form video design is a plus.
• A passion for storytelling, artist-centered programming, and creative community work.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
