POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Artist Relations Liaison acts as a Festival host for an assigned group of guests and artists who have been invited to participate in the official Sundance Film Festival program.

This temporary position works full time (40 hours per week) from Wednesday, October 28, 2026 to Friday, February 12, 2027 and requires extended hours, including evenings and weekends to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position may be based within a commutable distance to Boulder, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY, until the department comes together in Boulder, CO in January to support the in-person elements of the Festival.

Top priorities include, but are not limited to...
• Developing working relationships with invited filmmakers, jurors, panelists, lead artists and other Festival guests; managing high-volume communications under tight deadlines; and keeping organizational systems updated.
• Collecting, entering, and maintaining accurate guest and artist information in the Festival Post Acceptance Form (PAF), the Festival Content Management System (CMS) and across various Airtable bases.
• Serving as point on all communications about the Festival and acting as facilitators at theaters or event venues in-person, on the phone, via Zoom, or on our online Festival platform, including providing resolution and trouble-shooting.
• Acting as a responsive Festival lead for each filmmaker, juror, panelist, lead artist or other Festival guest, including providing a Festival orientation, and being on call 24/7 to ensure guests and artists have all the critical information and support they need before, during, and after the Festival.
• Serving as an operational team member and being available for all relevant meetings, screenings, and events pertinent to Festival guests and artists.
• Responsible for all guest and artist benefits, which may include; screening tickets, artist packages, credentials, passes, stipends, booking travel, arranging lodging, coordinating ground transportation, and mailing Festival materials and items.
• Providing general onsite support with all Artist Relations Festival guests wherever needed, in addition to guests in their assigned categories.
• Act as Filmmaker/Artist lead for internal departments across the Institute including Festival Programming, Press Office, Marketing, Theater Operations, Events, Tech Exhibition, Advancement, and Safety & Security.
• Collaborating with and leading department volunteers during the Festival.
• Gathering Festival guest and artist information for Festival publications and online site, and proofreading content before print and launch.
• Accurately tracking and maintaining assigned category budget.
• Supporting activity within the Artist Relations office within Festival Headquarters during the Festival, as needed.
• Writing a complete wrap report, that includes archiving relevant documents and information in the Festival database, department folders, and appropriate tracking documents.
• Coordinating thank-you emails and post-Festival surveys for guests and artists, and finalizing any outstanding correspondence, and department accounting.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years experience in operations around guest and artist relations including, communication, travel, benefits, hosting and operational support, or related.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Zoom and Google Products.
• Proficiency in digital communication tools.
• Prior experience working with or knowledge of Airtable preferred.
• Experience proofreading online and print content preferred.

• Successfully host all of the film/artist teams and invited guests within your assigned categories, ensuring that they feel supported and have a clear understanding of expectations before, during and after the Festival.
• Meet all applicable deadlines, remain calm and organized, and look for ways to support your fellow liaisons, the department, and the Festival as a whole.
• Provide efficient, clear, and accurate communications to assigned film/artist teams and guests as well as internal departments.
